The very first interaction between the couple could have been written different, sexual assault by cop?? Given the times with cops not being trusted, bad move.

Other than that the book was a good listen

Love this series

This story was a long time coming, I have always loved this series. This author was the reason I got into this genre. I will I could have heard it sooner. However this makes the next story easy to transition.

A pleasant surprise

I must admit the story begun in an awful way. In reality this abuse at the hands of police occurs alot to women of color. It is very terrifying and humiliating. With all that being said as the book progresses it turns into a very strange,but romantic love story. I did enjoyed the the book sans the beginning telling of the story. I would recommend this but with a warning that it may have material that may cause discomfort to those with sexual abuse.

If you can get past what amounts to a sexual assault by a cop after being pulled over for no reason at the very beginning of the book by said cop, then this book is for you..
