Magic will bring them together.
Will destiny tear them apart?

After a failed attempt to end her life, Alia Carter leaves her childhood home to become a waitress in the state's most prominent hotel. Traumatized after her mother’s death, she silently grapples with her pain until she saves the life of a mysterious man who reveals to her a world of true magic, and terrifying wonder.

Eric Wynter is a vampire Ward sworn to protect the creatures of the city. After centuries of heartache and loneliness, he is finally ready to end his existence.

When fate brings them together, Alia is irresistibly drawn into Eric’s world, where witches and vampires are more than childish bedtime stories. Together, they discover she too has an incredible power running through her veins. A power so rare, every creature in the city will kill to get their share of it...

Will Alia allow Eric into her life, and into her heart?
Will Eric be able to defy destiny and keep those he loves safe?

The Eos Key is a dark and magical story that will keep you spellbound long after the final tick.

The story had a new twist on the supernatural world that I found interesting. I really liked the main characters and LOVED the narrators. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Overall, I really enjoyed it

I really enjoyed this book. Kudos to the author. It wasn’t a I can’t put it down book, but for me it rated as highly intriguing. I finished it rather quickly. The author does a great job of keeping you engaged and interested in the story line. There were some parts of the storyline that the book could have done without.

The assigned villain I think acted too poorly made poor choices that were just too reckless for me especially given what they wanted to do and the knowledge they should have had given their position.

Somethings in the story line you can predict some you can’t. I really like that mix. I liked the diversity of the characters, Eric’s friends seemed like they were riots, the good kind. Alias work friends I liked just as much both groups were written more naturally if that makes sense.

I have to say the character Alia’s sweetness, shyness was ok but I also thought she could of been written better she seemed unrealistically weak, and a little mentally slow (even for a fictional character) given what she went through and to the point where it took away from the story a bit for me. Alia didn’t connect some dots or cross Ts I think would have made this book better.

Miranda was just a bit too cliché and the witches overall were poorly represented. The character Ana, I liked her bitchiness but it wasn’t done in good measure for me she seemed too harsh for the story and also didn’t have the depth you’d expect given her position in the winter family. The extreme differences of the characters Alia and Ana didn’t work for me and made me ask questions instead of enjoy the book.

I’d also like to see more description of the settings to help place my mind in the spaces these characters occupy. The story line did keep your attention enough that the lack of settings wasn’t that big an issue. The audible performance was beautifully done but it can’t make up for that kinda lack.

Overall I say it’s a great start to a series. I am excited about this author I really hope she continues writing and I can’t wait to read or listen to the next book!

I liked this book, however the main character is very naive and lacks common sense about everything. The main female character acts like a 5 year old, and it’s very frustrating. The plot and setting of the book is really interesting and the narrator’s do an excellent job. I do recommend this book and hope to read the next one also.

This book is interesting.
