Do people say they hate someone's guts so they can still fall stupidly, head-over-heels in love with the other parts?

I'm begging you to tell me that the practice of falling in love with your should-be-enemy is common. Please tell me that I'm not the only person to track down a guy - who used to be Hollywood's baddest bad boy before he left LA for good - at his off-the-grid cabin in Alaska, show up unannounced, and find him gloriously naked.

This probably happens all the time...right? Tell me I'm not alone in my stupidity - that I'm not the only woman who would fall for gorgeous blue eyes and a sexy devilish smirk, even if they belong to a broody, mysterious jerk.

For the love of everything, I need all the supportive girl power I can get if I'm going to convince Luca Weaver to come back to Hollywood - otherwise known as the place he hates so much that he ghosted Oscar-level success and escaped to no-man's-land for the last eight years just to avoid it.

Yeah, don't worry - that smoke you're smelling isn't your house catching fire as you read this...it's just my career and what was previously known as my heart going up in flames.

The story line killed me with Billie never having apologized to Luca. I never like in these stories where they both hurt one another but only the guy apologizes. Like what kind of nonsense is that?! Billie tried to one up Luca pain and I hate that. “Atleast you had parents” after someone explains to you that their parents made them feel like less than nothing is impossible. & I hate the stubbornness of the character like I’m sorry but every second of every chapter 🤦🏾‍♀️ for the love of God.

It was good.

The banter and the relationship between the mmc and fmc is cute and has minimal angst. Max Monroe never misses.

Such a cute story

I really enjoyed this story. I don’t always love a “celebrity” or “famous” MC, so I was quite surprised with how taken I was with these characters. I think I enjoyed a lot of the plot taking place away from Hollywood, and the whole journey up in Alaska was just really fun. So many good laughs, loved the chemistry between characters, and just loved the characters on their own, too. FMC was a real hoot, and I liked that the MMC was grumpy but (generally) not a total ass.

NOW LISTEN. Noelle Bridges is *so* unreal. This performance was everything. I’ve listened to her before, and have always enjoyed the experience— but holy cow. This Reese-Witherspoon-from-Sweet-Home-Alabama-esque voice she created for the FMC was SO perfect. I am absolutely taken with this performance. The differentiation between the various characters was also superbly done. Aiden Snow was also a GREAT casting. His performance suited the MMC— grumpy, swoony, and soft-at-heart 😍 This was just great dual narration from the pair of them.

Unreal Narration, CUTE Story, Lovable MCs

I have to say this in case anyone else experiences the same thing. I couldn’t stand either of the main characters at the beginning. I almost put it down and I’m so glad I didn’t. What an enjoyable, feel-good book!

Witty and beautifully performed

A nice story with a stellar narration team! Tolstoy it isn’t, but it made me smile and chuckle throughout.

Loved it!
