Two people, ten years apart, both messed up from trauma and ruined for relationships.

Rain tries to blackmail a superstar to save her ass from trouble she got into with her ex.

The rock star in question, a 28 year old bassist with a drinking problem, doesn’t take too kindly to betrayal…After tying his new personal assistant to his bed and making some unhinged threats of his own, Mickey forces Rain into an alliance.

Enemies thrown together in a gothic Southern mansion reach a compromise… keep each other satisfied, stay loyal — and never fall in love.

This is a dark and twisted enemies-to-lovers age gap romance with a younger black female lead and a white Southern rock star. This is Book #2 in a trilogy of standalone dark interracial rock star romance novels.

This is the second book in the series. It’s leaps and bounds better than the first book. The characters are flawed, but lovable. It’s a fun read. The narration was very good. I’m now looking forward to how the series will conclude and to book three in the series.

Interesting Twists turns and flawed characters, Great Narrator

the question I have is what the hell is this book. although I understand that the characters are supposed to be flawed this is another level of insanity. for one the female lead is so self-deprecating and absolutely idiotic that I could not even get through the entire book I literally had to skip to different spaces just to make it to the end. spoiler alert don't continue reading if you don't want to know what happens so this chick would rather go back to her rapist or attempted rapist then stay with a successful Rockstar who absolutely adores her and who would take care of her she would rather live in a roach motel then a mansion she would rather take the crumbs off of the floor then try to pull herself up and this is not just not feeling worthy this is a form of mental and physical and emotional immaturity that I have never seen before basically this book was not worth the buy and I am not sure how it even got published.
