Reminds me a bit of anime like wiseman grandchild, or mushoku tensei, but waaay better. I love some historical elements, and math and science theme. 5 stars.

A great book!!! Recommend!

Not your standard cookie cutter, rinse and repeat story this one stands on its own 2 feet.

The main character is a 60 year old Soviet scientist reborn in a magical world, So based on his life experience as a scientist and his disenfranchisement of the Soviet Russian corruption but still remembering the promises and propaganda, made to the Soviet people. This makes up the personality of the main character. His past experiences influence who he becomes in his new magical world.

I would recommend it

I really wanted to like it, however the endless prattle is just too much.
Over 10 chapters in (2hrs+) and the main story hasn't started. Just a bunch of introspection and talking to himself. started skipping chapters just to get to some substance. Still way too much filler.

fascinating concept though. Just poorly executed in my opinion.

Not my cup of tea.

Hours upon hours of nothing but science facts with no real point of the story.
Oh sorry there is the point of a stupid scientist wanting to push forward magic advancement for no other reasons besides SCIENCE! uncaring he will just be giving people better tools to kill everyone.
Personally I hate people like that blind fanatics that only care about their goals and not the consequences.
This character gets a glimpse of soul manipulating and spitting necromancers and decides they are the good guys because their soul enslavement means they had advanced magic. While the God people aren't as advanced therefore evil.

Honestly it comes off as hours of pointless drivel where the MC doesnt think through any of his goals only on how to do them not if he should or why.
Also a stupid amount of loyalty to a geographical region. All this effort to make his hometown better instead of just moving. He literally has no reason to love the village.
No friends, no special things about it, no ties to it.
Just take the family and move to a city. End of story .

Sooo boring
