This freaking book!

Chefs kiss! New interesting plot, narrated by my absolute favorite Laura Horowitz. One of my very few five star reads this year.

Lovely Lilith

I liked that this had to do with the story of Lilith. It definitely gave Crescent City Vibes. I loved the voice actor for Lilith but I didn’t quite like the voice actor for Zahariev. It sounded too husky idk. Reminded me of hellboy lol. One of the hardest things for me to listen to was the repeated “I said” “he said”. I loved the ending though and I feel like book 2 is going to be intense due to the ending development.

MMC VA needs some work

Literally only here to review the performance. The story was A+ for me.

I swear the Male VA changed his mind on how he wanted Zahariev to sound. I hope that he hones in on one way moving forward bc if there’s one way to take a reader out of a story it’s sounding different from chapter to chapter. Even the way he says his own name is in contradiction to the rest of the way he would sound for that character. The female VA did well. She would say Zahariev differently which I would pick up on but hey I’m that kind of listener I guess, I need consistency.

FYI there’s no miscommunication in this romance

This world is very interesting! And I loved finding new allusions and references to christianity and Sin sity. Looking forward to listening to the next part!
