Party Girl Learns Her Lesson

The reviews and hype around this book scared me off at first, since I've been burned by booksta and tiktok famous books before.

But my bestie and a few trusted friends had great things to say, so I finally gave it a go! I found Piper harder to relate to than most romcom protags, as a plus size nerdy short girl. However, I really enjoyed her emotional growth and journey throughout the book! I liked the Hot and Hammered series quite a bit more, but this was a fun read, and hit all the Alexis Rose / Schitt's Creek vibes it promised.

Couldn’t stop listening

I absolutely loved these. I preferred the characters in the second book, but both were fantastic. I absolutely couldn’t stop listening.

Friends to Lovers

I really love Tessa Bailey's writing as a RomCom author. I don't love her chronic use of pet names and this one by far is the least of the cringey ones. I'll take "freckles" over "honey girl" 🤢

the friends to lovers trope is well done, they haven't been friends for years like most of this trope so it is a bit fresher perspective!

As a hopeless romantic, I really just soak in her writing and always leave feeling all warm and fuzzy and really do suffer when the characters suffer. This was no different, Tessa does a beautiful job with making you fall in love with each character

First book

It Happened One Summer’s performance was A+ perfectly done! I didn’t enjoy the second performance as much, although both novels were enjoyable.

Cute stories

I laughed out loud so many times! Great stories. I like that it was about sisters and in a town I actually know. Definitely worth the listen. Second narrator wasn’t my favorite, but it didn’t ruin the story.
