Amongst the Space Wolves, the name of Lukas the Trickster is as much a curse as anything in the old tongues of Fenris. Named Jackalwolf by his masters, none of whom wish his dubious fealty, he now plays a dangerous game with the hordes of orks massing on Polix Tertius. Risking the ire of Wolf Lord Kjarl Grimblood as well as the blades of his xenos foes, he turns his attentions to the planetary vox-communications network and begins to broadcast....

A short but sweet ride of a clever space wolf against a horde of Orks. Very well done with the audio and sound effects, acting is spot on, and the humor is great, if your looking for a fun ride in the 40k universe you've come to the right place!

Fun intro to Lukas the Trickster

There cannot be a better comparison between what is good 6th Legion Wolf writing and what is not than to compare this great short story to the nearly unbearable "Saga of the Beast" tripe by David Annandale.

This story focuses on Lukas the Trickster, the Jackal-wolf. The character is fun, layered, and succeeds as well as fails. He is an actual character!

This is in opposition to the literary cotonation of Ragnar "plot magic" Blackmane, called so because he can never lose, no matter how poor his thought process, how drull and predictable the story, or what wrong he does. Excuses get made and -magic-, he wins, total trash.

Lukas on the other hand serves a purpose, he is utterly imperfect, everybody hates him. . . thus "The Subtle Art of Provication".

Lukas for Great Wolf!!!

While this audio drama is certainly on the shorter side it is still one of the funnier Warhammer 40,000 tales to date. Definitely worth it for those interested in Space Wolves or more specifically something very different from traditional Space Wolves.

Great performances and solid sound FX for this drama. I definitely now more interested in the character of Lucas the Trickster.
