This is fantastic writing and great production. I use this story as the background story for a Lonewolf I use on the table top.

As my title says, i love that we are shown thunderwolves. They used to be the main unit of my army when i played 40k, so im always glad to see the big fellas in books. A few things i would note however, is that i really also liked that it showed the wolves fighting alongside their riders while they were dismounted.

As for the main story itself, i quite liked it. There were a few things that were minor annoyances regarding a few things the imperial guard commander said, but other than that i think for a 1 hour story there was decent pacing, characterization and a resolution.

The biggest issue is the performance. Toby longworth does a great job as always but the added sound effects for the whole audio drama vibe this time were pretty hit or miss. The fighting sounds were mostly good besides a few points where grunting and groaning were like... nonstop almost overlaid over each other in a fight or two. The sound of the bolters and lasguns were good, and the sound of the radio was good.

Overall, for space wolf fans and especially fans of thunderwolves i would say its a good listen.

Love that we are shown thunderwolves!

The action scenes were really great, even though the overall story was not particularly interesting.

The excellent sound effects.
