An Armenian mobster's son is being tried for murder, and Harper must win the case. Her life literally depends on it. If the son is convicted, Harper's life will be in danger.

Introducing Damien Harrington, Harper's new associate!

Harper is stuck representing Sargis' son Erik for murder. Harper thinks that he's good for it. All day long. Yet she must take on his case and find some way to get him acquitted. If she loses this case, she might lose her life. No pressure....

Helping her out is brand-new associate, Damien Harrington. Damien has a secret that he is hiding from Harper, a secret that would be devastating to him if it got out. Yet Harper and Damien work very well together. Damien takes the lead on the Erik Gregorian case because, quite frankly, Erik turns Harper's stomach.

Damien's first big case that he brings into the firm involves a wrongful death. This case might make both Harper and Damien millionaires. Damien is on the verge of settling when he finds out something that makes him regret ever taking the case on. Any money that he receives from a settlement becomes blood money, and this eats away at his conscience.

With the twists and turns that you've come to expect and love, The Associate is a legal thriller that is not to be missed!

Virtual voice bomb out

This was narrated by AI, generally I won’t listen to AI narration, but I didn’t realize it until I started the book. The narration didn’t have the AI sound, and other than several repeated phrases/words I forgot it was AI. I’m from KC so I enjoy the KC format.

Good story and narration

AI as a narrator takes away from the story it is hard to listen to. I have listened to many books and found this virtual voice to ruin the story

Virtual voice stinks

The story was OK. A little wordy for a legal thriller and a bit of an unsatisfying ending. The narration was just awful though and made it hard to finish. As a lawyer, the mispronouncing of words almost made me stop so many times but I hate to DNF.

Terrible AI Narration

This book sounds like it’s not only narrated by AI but also written using AI. For crying out loud, could someone at least listen to the whole thing and remove the redundant phrases and update the pronunciations? Or at least have an AI Agent review and make it AI undetectable. This book is awful. The first few chapters are okay but the longer it goes on, the worse it gets with child like dialogue, mis pronunciations, repeated sentences, and unrealistic legal scenes. Just a few decent prompts would make this 1000 times better. The ai narrator needs to change voices for the characters. There are male and female protagonists in this book and I hardly know which one is speaking. In more complete plots, the voices are the best way to keep up and you’ll get to help here. All characters speak with the same cadence, tone and inflection. And the inflections are often wrong.

Could we get a “human in the loop” for these AI books?
