Perhaps the marriage that had once saved Gemma’s life might now save Barnabus—and his lonely heart.

But before the once-confirmed bachelor can properly court his secret bride, they will need to evade the dangerous forces that are drawing ever closer to the hopeful lovers and the entire Dread Penny Society itself.

Suspenseful

Till the last sentence !!! I loved it ! Shocked and can’t wait for the next book.

Wonderful

This series are so good fully of mystery intrigue and so wonderfully narrated love it one of my favorites

Ending was Awesome

Narrator was not youthful. I was use to the other narrator for 3 books the change threw me off.

New narrator

Its very distracting to have a new narrator. She makes the characters all sound very different and it’s confusing. Sometimes she starts and stops accents mid sentence.
The story is good though. Lots of fun play twist and a big reveal.

terrible narrator is worth the plot twist

This is the best book in the series yet. The narrator is not great. All the youth women sound really high pitched and annoying, but once you get past it… the twist in the last 15 minutes is too good to miss!
