Eerily similar to previous vooks

while there are some differences in the story, many of the plot points are shared between books three and four and feel watered down. I don't feel like I get to know the main character very well, Parker, he just kind of existed. The love interest I feel like I know more, but he's still painfully vague compared to the interesting personalities and hijinx we have seen in this series. It just feels out of place

Uninteresting characters in an uninteresting story

Yes, I know the story is a tired trope as is all the plots in this series. That just means you need interesting situations and characters to make it worth listening (or reading). This had neither.

There was nothing in the plot that would make either one of these characters to fall in love with each other. You are just expected to believe that a few beers and chat sessions has totally altered one of these MC’s whole attitude toward love? I struggled to get to the end where his whole personality changed to some Disney prince.

Also it is very annoying when 18 yo are written as if they are 35 year old. Write in the third person if you can’t figure out how to give each character a different voice
