Delaney McPhearson has faced danger after danger. And along the way, she's lost a great deal. Some would say too much.

For the first time, she has fully embraced who she is—and what's expected of her. She's ready to take on whatever her destiny puts in her path. At the same time, another power rises with a plan of its own.

A plan that will have worldwide ramifications.

A plan that Laney won't see coming until it's too late.

A plan that will lead to Laney's undoing.

I really enjoy this series. I absolutely love the way it is written, so this critique is very picky, because I am absolutely going to continue to read the series. spoiler alert: Laney's need to distance herself from everyone is very annoying. I absolutely get not including the kids in all this mess, but they are THE triad. So how does she think that her destiny includes doing this alone. This is all their destiny. it is very self righteous and annoying for her to have that attitude, and causing more stress to them then they would have otherwise. They have less of a life with her gone, then with her there.

the solo act is a little much
