He has become one of my favorite authors. This series did not disappoint. love them all especially the ending. lots of surprises and best characters.

Definitely not some of his better work

Not sure why he made this series such a jumbled mess. You need a flowchart to keep track of everyone and everything that has been thrown into the story(s). I chose to skip through several chapters of each book in order to finish this series.

Intriguing Idea of Invasion

Great character development of many varied individuals across multiple generations and life styles. The idea that there are parallel dimensions, although not novel, was good. We never quite understood exactly what the "others" wanted besides getting a tablet back or why that provoked them to violence. I wish he would have included the thoughts of 'Louie' the stranded alien who shared time with the beer guzzling rancher who hid his crashed saucer in a newly built barn on his ranch.
That might have 'rounded out the story more fully so we could of understood how the aliens came to our planet in the first place. I very much enjoy this author and the narrator does a wonderful job of voicing the many folks in most memorable manner.
