The Glass

A hush falls over Earth as invisible barriers appear at random. Cars crash into them; trees are sliced in half, but nothing prepares humanity for what comes next. As the effects take hold, Ransom learns his young daughter Chrissy is prone to inclinations, which is exactly what he'd feared the most. Drake, a seasoned detective, joins forces with Britt, a brilliant journalist, as well as Peggy and Will, two small-town lovers unwittingly thrust into danger.

Drake, a retired police detective, receives a call in the dead of night from an alien-obsessed podcaster. He hastily departs for Montana the following morning. The phenomenon continues all over the globe. What are they? What do they mean? Britt is on assignment for a digital magazine when she encounters one of the Glass in a tragic boating accident, leaving her no choice but to follow the lead. Panic ensues as mysterious creatures are sighted.

There’s a sense of normalcy for the community in Monterey, California, but their peace doesn’t last long. When they’re pushed to leave, they encounter something they never expected to find. The Glass remain, but they’ve shifted positions. Peggy reveals she used to have dreams, but prescription medication kept them at bay. Now she’s off the pills and is determined to visit Spokane with Will.

Ransom and Britt attempt to settle into a new life, but a dreadful threat is constantly hanging over their heads. The settlers in Tucson know their time is limited. An invasion is underway. Peggy is adamant they can destroy the Glass, but it will take a trip to another time and place to ensure it remains off. Cedric, under a cloud of doubt, must decide where his true allegiance leans. There is hope—a military base with something that could change the tides of their future. No one seems to have remembered the base exists, but they search for their salvation.
