It is May, 1706. Ana, a young Spanish woman, lives in a small town on the north-west coast of Tenerife with her mother and twin younger brothers. A good short story with an interesting setting

I listened to the Audible version of this quick read short story and thought it was great! Lots of history woven in with compelling characters and plot. It described events in the Canary Islands that I had never heard of until this reading this. The authors words and the narrators voice were a great combination.

Loved this story!

Loved the story, the setting & characters. Excellent narration. I've enjoyed all of Kate Mosse's stories that I have read thus far. I'm looking forward to her next novel!
