The Anunnaki miners find gold mining laborious and dangerous, so they genetically engineer a hybrid race to do it for them. Mixing Anunnaki DNA with simian, they create the Human, "those who work".

Mix of interesting and not

What if earth was influence by aliens who used humans for their projects and whims? I'm torn between giving credit for an interesting twist and a theme development which at times lacked depth and believability in the story. Is this a book I would likely pick up again? No. Was it worth going through once, maybe not. Some have obviously loved the story. Likely an underlying theme would be, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
