What would you call people who steal the newly buried dead and sell their bodies for medical dissection? In Stevenson's day, they were sometimes called "resurrectionists" - but he calls them "Body-Snatchers" and tells a grisly, memorable story about them. A master of terror and suspense, Stevenson lets his imagination explore the depths of human superstitions. Also included on this recording are the stories "Isle of Voices" and "The Waif Woman."

A creepy good time but not terrifying. Classic horror at its best. If you like Edgar Allen Poe then you will like these stories.💀 🎃

A good listen and short enough for a one sitter. The book shows that we may be getting closer to the Second Coming of Christ, as our morality today is much worse than it was in the 19th Century. lol

Some more likeable than others but all entertaining to listen. Stories are what we would call suspense for the most part.

The last story was the most interesting - I tended to drift out of attention with the others
