Not sure about the conclusion

I greatly enjoyed the earlier book by this author with the same detective characters, Nye and Rosie. This book was tightly constructed until the end. Enjoyed it, except for the abrupt, unsubstantiated conclusion.

It got off to a slow start, but I’m glad I stayed with it. It culminated into an interesting drama.

hard to follow which characters are in what city. it jumps without warning from city to city and situation to situation that are not connected

something for everyone

You have murder, politics, infidelity, lots of characters, snitching, and the requisite bribery. What else do you need in a book.
