Much more disturbing than The Favorite Girl

This one is hard to read. The violence and depravity are a lot. However, I couldnt put it down. The ending was great.

Thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat

I loved the plot and writing style. It was unique and original, slightly reminding me of The Handmaid Tales and kept me wanting to keep reading to find out what happens next.

Just Wow

for not reading the first book of the series this story has been very intense from the first page or the first chapter. I think that the unconditional sacrifices and love that both sisters made for each other speaks volumes about what family truly meant to them . it's crazy how there are actual men that actually have that kind of sense of thinking that women are just for the pleasure of their company and I absolutely loved how Demi took her struggle and overcame through it and turned it into something that even though it seems sinister to the outside world was more of a sense of healing for her and the woman that have endured the same thing as she did.

for this being my first audiobook I wasn't expecting the intense Violet and misogynistic disgust

All I can say is that this book is not for the weak. Fantastic book that left me feeling intrigued, disturbed and fascinated all in one

intriguing concept

overall, I enjoyed the story and was intrigued by the concept. Dark and disturbing. the writing style was easy to follow, not a lot of jumping around to different points of view, or having too many characters introduced.
