Great new series, with some old friends

Zilla is happy with her life and work as a low level bureaucrat. Then one day, a cat and a journal appears at her door. Her touch reveals writing in the journal/grimoire and she starts an investigation into a decades old murder and wrongful conviction. I enjoy all Jeannie Wycherley series and this one is also great fun. I especially like when characters from other series appear. The narration is outstanding.

The Cat Stole Your Tome book 1 of Ghastly Grimoire Mystery by Jeannie Wycherley is a wonderful start to a new series and cameos from previous characters which I totally loved! Great characters especially Zilla, great storyline, worldbuilding and lots of magic! I loved everything about this story and I can't wait for more!

Good Start to Series

Entertaining story featuring a witch who finds a mysterious grimoire after a visit from a mysterious cat. She finds herself in danger as she looks for answers as to who the grimoire belongs to and a few other mysteries. The narrator did an excellent job keeping me riveted throughout the story. It can be listened to as a standalone but it does leave some things open for a continuation of the series.

Entertaining Fantasy Mystery

I enjoyed this story a lot. I was entertained by Zilla who lived an ordinary life until a strange cat landed on her doorstep. I liked the unusual characters who populated the story. I was happy to become reacquainted with characters from other series by this author. I followed the twisted mystery with surprising curves which kept my attention riveted to the story. I thought Gil Burns' narration was great as her performance kept me entertained. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
