Great read

Great book and has a wonderful narrator. I really enjoyed listening to this compelling story.

Realistic and relatable

I enjoyed the story very much. The author conveyed the complexity of the main character’s (Amerigo) thoughts, feelings and experiences very well. The narrator’s pronunciation of Italian words was mostly very good, except on quite a few words he put the emphasis on the wrong syllable, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable listening experience.

the historical meaning

very good representation of people survival.. I would like more stories like this, 1930s to 1950s.
