EXCELLENT STORY!

Wow! So smoothly written! Great job at narrating! Makes you laugh and cry. Kindness, compassion, peace, sadness, fear, anger, witty, funny, passionate, pain, suffering, and forgiveness. So much in this book! I loved all the characters!

I really enjoyed this novel. Great Christmas read. It was a great book to listen to while trimming the tree!

I don't normally start a series in the middle, especially a long-standing series. But I had this book in my library and I was looking for a Christmas romance... And it totally fit the bill.

I'll start by saying, I liked the book. I'm a sucker for both Christmas romances and those featuring military (or veterans). The story was fine and interested me enough to keep listening. I liked both characters and wanted to see them find their HEA. I felt it just dragged on a bit more than I would have preferred. And I feel like I might have been missing something when it comes to all the secondary characters seeing as this is the first book in the series I've read.

I did enjoy the narration. I felt the pacing and actual performance worked for me. Overall, I wouldn't shy away from listening to another book narrated by Lisa Zimmerman.
