Police Officer John Gonzalez, recently wounded in the line of duty, rallies his group of thrown-together friends into a tight group to survive the end of the world as we know it in the City of Kankakee, an hour South of Chicago.

Virtual Voice is disappointing

Pretty good overall story and storyline. Interested in seeing where it goes. Virtual is really bad in my opinion.

the AI voice definitely hurt the book im not a fan of the ai voice it was just dull

good story but can't stand the a I narration. I have words to go before I can submit my review wondering if this is enough.

No emotion

Loved the story and think it would’ve been so much better with an actual narrator. The AI lacked emotions and had issues pronouncing certain words which distracted from story. If there is a book 2 I hope the author reads these reviews and decides to have an actual human read the audible version

boo on virtual voices

The designers of the virtual voices need to improve on the emotional part of telling the stories. I would have liked this book much more if there were variations of voices and emotion to the speaker.
