This is a true example of how some men have a hard time expressing their feeling in words. However, Kyle is time enough for him. She reminds me of myself(smile). This is a good read and you will not be disappointed. Also, the narrators did an awesome job. I’ll be listening to this one again!

Ben is such an a**hole, and I love him!

The fmc is discovering herself after losing her husband and child. She unexpectedly meets a new man who saves her life. This story could be triggering for some it touches on the death of family due to a school unaliving. And a firefighter who became numb after losing several people that we’re close to him. We see the stages of grief through the interactions with each other and their families

I went into this blind. It was on sale and it had a requirement for my reading challenge. I’m glad I got it.

The story is about life after loss. The story is told so beautifully that I wondered if Sugar Valley is a real place.

I won’t go into details lest I spoil it for someone… go into this blind. It’s gripping, riveting, sweet and I even teared a little… I loved the way Christina C. Jones introduced us to the characters, how the characters were each layered and all had some back story that was also revealed in beautiful layers… Ben’s mom… whoa!!! LoL I really enjoyed this book.

What I absolutely loved was that the characters were not in their late teens or early twenties with plethora of knowledge then act dumb. Christina C. Jones was able to write about normal people, these people doing age appropriate things with noramls worries, normal situations making everything so interesting without fluffying it up or create unnecessary drama to make the Hero rescue (he did rescue her but it made sense) or act macho all the while the heroine sounds dumb and immature… this was so refreshing!

(I’m on this dark and dirty romances and refuse to read anything else right now but this had a little of 🌶 that I appreciated but still stayed wholesome… I hope the holier than thou folks won’t think it’s too much……)

I hope others enjoy it the way I did… I’m still thinking of Sugar Valley and it’s inhabitants long after I finished… like did she get a job she liked in the big city? Did she ever find out about Kyle and Ben? How was the wedding? It’s really a good book 😍

Love it so much I bought 2 copies to remind me and maybe, just maybe I would get it signed by the author one day. Then another one I gave as a present...it's that good!

A great surprise
