F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote many wonderful romantic and realistic short stories and a few incredible "on the edge" fantasy and supernatural stories. Although the story of "Benjamin Button" is quite different than the 2009 movie, the premise is the same - a man is born old and lives his life backwards! Fizgerald says he got the idea from Mark Twain's remark that it was a pity that the best part of life came at the beginning and the worst part at the end.Public Domain (P)2009 Jimcin Recordings Short Story Classics Fiction Anthologies & Short Stories Anthologies Fantasy

The narrator was a little boring but it was only an hour so I could deal with that. This book is sad in a way at the end. Also it is nothing like the movie except for in concept.

Very short but worth the 99 cents.

A got this story after watching the movie and, not surprisingly, found that the movie used the basic concept and that's about all. That being said, it was a great story - what an imagination Fitzgerald had! Reading was good, too. Loved the voices of Button at various ages.

Great story

This short story is grand. It's honest and more sincere than the Hollywood Love story starring Brad Pitt. It was well worth the short time listening to it, even though the narrator is promoting his podcast and struggles with character voices but slowly getting past that, enjoyable and interesting read.

Highly recommend this short story!

Perfectly Honest

Well done reading of this story. Concept takes a lot of "suspension of disbelief" but it's certainly an imaginative story.
