Are you a fan of Stephen King and Dean Koontz? If you're looking for something fresh and new, join the millions of readers who have already delved into the heart-pounding World's Scariest Legends.

"Those who enjoy Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and other masters of supernatural suspense will relish The Dancing Plague's ability to move through time, relationships, and intrigue to question the roots of mass hysteria and paranormal experiences." —Midwest Book Review

What would you get if you smashed together Stephen King's coming-of-age tale The Body (aka Stand by Me) with Richard Laymon's The Traveling Vampire Show? Give The Dancing Plague a read to find out!

In the sixteenth century hundreds of residents of Strasbourg in Alsace (now France) danced uncontrollably for days on end, many dropping dead from their exertions.

Nearly four hundred years later “the dancing plague” has returned, this time afflicting the residents of an idyllic Cape Cod town.

For twelve-year-old Ben Graves and his two friends, the inexplicable dancing mania is only the beginning of the horror to come.

Publisher's note: While The Dancing Plague can be enjoyed as a standalone novel, it is intended as a two-part story. This is Book 1, set in 1988, and follows the lives of three 12-year-old children. Book 2 picks up in the present day, continuing the story from the perspectives of the same three individuals, now middle-aged adults.

The dance has begun… will you survive the rhythm of terror?

The story was good, a coming of age type, but the AI voice did NOT do it any favors. I'm sure the decision to use AI rather than a person has to do with money and perhaps time, but books should be read by people!! AI misses the tone and makes everything so flat. Lots of mispronounced words too. Part of the joy of audiobooks for me is having the reader walk me through the story. I hope this is a passing thing!!

Kept my attention!

A FANTASTIC take on my favorite genre, werewolves!!! A surprise at that, I found the book through a werewolf search, but nothing about it even hinted at werewolves, not in the preview. A very, very slow start, but one that was perfectly done! No horror, no hints to it, and it didn't even matter! It didn't matter because the story touched so closely to a majority of our adolescent to teen years, and it sucked you right into it! When the "happenings" started to happen, BAM! IT WAS ON! If you grew up in the 80's, this book is for you, especially if you experienced turning into a teenager in the mid 80's!
Now, how to get audible to get the other two books in the series....

A walk down our (genX) coming of age lane

I loved the story! It is full of twists and turns and scary moments. If you are a genxer, you are going to appreciate the 80’s/90’s details that at to the atmosphe

A compelling Stephen Kingish read!

The story was interesting and unpredictable. Unfortunately the virtual voice is not really good. I like human narration much better.

This was good
