Loved the interweaving story threads over many books

Never got bored tackled race class and poverty in a way that one could not ignore the reality of discrimination

Great with exception for the virtual voice

The second of the Gary George titles I've listened to. Definitely enjoyed the character development, the story line and information about the land. Joe is a great character. Only issue is the virtual voice. Definitely worth a listen.

my take

I do not care for virtual voice narratives.. they do not read the sentences correctly and the monotone diction is awful.

The AI narrator makes the story unlistenable

Honestly, don’t know how the story is, I couldn’t get by the narration. Don’t waste your time.

No more computer generated voices

I disliked the computer generated voices.

It didn’t bring the characters to life, oh yeah it isn’t human.
