Some secrets are meant to be kept.

No one has ever ventured deeper into space than the four astronauts of Shepherd-1. The aim of their mission is to witness the creation of the cosmos. Using the sun as a lens, they are to align a flock of probes in such a way that the moment of the Big Bang becomes visible.

For astronomer Christine, this is a dream come true. So she is bitterly disappointed when the first images are obscured by a kind of veil that prevents any insight. She works obsessively to find a solution, but when she finally succeeds in lifting the veil, she sees something that would have been better kept hidden...

Good start to the series. Got better as it went along and had a great ending! Looking forward to Book 2.

I always enjoy BQM’s stories!

Loved the story and characters. I also enjoyed the Quantum physics explanations bonus material at the end. Can’t wait to start book 2. Thank you.

Lots of twists and turns. Great story.

When a story is deeply unscientific it breaks immersion for me. Ever heard of recombination? No light based telescope can look att he big bang! Ever heard of the rocket equation? Propulsion mass? Why the heck will you build a ship that accelerates at 10g in space!

Deeply unscientific

Read the description and reviews, but was let down by this one. Was interesting at first but then it just became really boring. Started to redeem itself towards the end, but after the weak M. Night twist I was pretty much done. Some might find this okay, but beware the author supplies you with an hour long quantum mechanics lesson for the last hour of the book.

Reader did some pretty bad accents too.

Not recommended.
