This book was not my normal genre but I am very glad I branched out, I was a little concerned at first that the number of characters introduced so quickly would be hard to keep up with. Fortunately the author did an amazing job at introducing them and giving you their story and weaving them together perfectly, So many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat through out and even had my gasp out loud a few times once in a busy store as I was listening while grocery shopping. I am so glad I branched out of my normal read.

Action packed through out.

When I began listening I almost didn't finish. The narrator just seemed flat and like he was trying to hard. I kept listening and the story started getting good so I ignored the narrator and concentrated on the story. I can't wait for the next in the series.

The narrator threw me at first.

The Divine Devils kept me completely off my game as far as being able to predict what was around the corner and this was refreshing. One thing I will say, if you are one of those listeners/readers that looks to find fault in the tactical accuracy you will, but I'm not sure what a book like this is written for. Also the character development is much more engaging because even those characters that are just spotlighted have enough build up to want to see them more. Excited to read the next book in this series.

Suspenseful without being predictable

How Phillip was able to make so many voices amazes me. The audio really brought The Divine Devils to life.

After getting let go from the US Marshal service the main character Hunter Devine works with a group of individuals that have specific skills. Their job is to protect two children of a prominent family that someone is trying to kidnap. With an unsuspected twist toward then end. Lots of action. The story line was interesting to follow. At first the narrator was a bit hard to listen to because dialogue of the story did not have emotion. But there are many different characters that the narrator worked very well in different voices. This made up for the dryness of the rest of it. Good job to both the author and narrator.
