From master storyteller and New York Times bestseller Tad Williams comes the first book in the landmark epic fantasy saga of Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn.

A war fueled by the powers of dark sorcery is about to engulf the peaceful land of Osten Ard—for Prester John, the High King, lies dying. And with his death, the Storm King, the undead ruler of the elf-like Sithi, seizes the chance to regain his lost realm through a pact with the newly ascended king. Knowing the consequences of this bargain, the king’s younger brother joins with a small, scattered group of scholars, the League of the Scroll, to confront the true danger threatening Osten Ard.

Simon, a kitchen boy from the royal castle unknowingly apprenticed to a member of this League, will be sent on a quest that offers the only hope of salvation, a deadly riddle concerning long-lost swords of power. Compelled by fate and perilous magics, he must leave the only home he’s ever known and face enemies more terrifying than Osten Ard has ever seen, even as the land itself begins to die.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

I am blown away with the production value and voice acting. (Glad they went with European accents) Any fantasy book fans or those seeking fantasy radio dramas would be foolish to skip this. Just queued up Part 2!

Hope the whole trilogy gets this treatment!

This very well done and a great listen, but not worth the eventual $60 or so you'll have to pay in cash or credits.

Expensive for 1/3 of a Book.

I tried and failed to read the original book about a year ago or so and had wanted to give it a other shot. im happy to say that this Graphic Audio version knocks it out of the park and got me super invested in the story of Simon and all that happens in Osten Ard. I've already picked up the second part and am patiently waiting for the third to drop next year. I really hope they continue this series onto at least the next 2 books! This series deserves it!. Also, id recommend Tad Williams epic sci-fi series Otherland, it's what got me into his books this year and inspired me to get back into Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn.

Amazing Adaptation

I struggled pondering why they made the decisions they did and gave up after the first time a Norn spoke, I turned it off and returned the 2nd and 3rd parts.
