bittersweet

I've been reading this series for nearly 20 years. sad to have finally finished it.

Epic

Even though I knew how it had to end I was Still Heart Broken at the end. I fell in love with these Characters and Hated the thought that the Dream would die.

Forget everything you think you know about Camelot.

This entire series could be a detailed history of Camelot. So much so, you may think that Camelot actually existed. Enjoyed listening to this series very much.

One-of-a-kind

If you're someone who commutes a lot or has a job that allows you to spend a lot of time wearing earbuds, then this story is for you. I was pleased to find a series of this magnitude that didn't include magic of some nature. Great storytelling that didn't rely on a lot of battle scenes keep me interested. Great series.

Surprise

Surprisingly the narrator actually improved. It only took five epic length novels and hundreds of hours of audio time but it happened. The distinction between major characters was still minimal and his voices are still grating, pretentious and/or idiotic but an improvement is an improvement.

The story was excellent. A truly impressive take on the Arthurian legends. In my opinion, a far more likely scenario than the dominant story but whatever, it was still very entertaining, thoughtful and fun. Anyone who is interested in Arthur would do well to include these books in their collection.
