An economic downturn has shaken China’s foundations, threatening the grip of its ruling elite. Facing internal unrest and an existential political crisis, Beijing's leaders take a desperate gamble—one that will plunge the world into chaos. Their strategy is bold, methodical, and ruthless: destabilize the United States from within, weaken its alliances, and pave the way for a bold military move to reclaim Taiwan.

The first step? Mexico.

As cartel violence surges and political instability threatens to engulf America's southern neighbor, few realize that a shadow war is already underway. A vast network of Chinese spies, cyber operatives, and military planners have infiltrated Latin America, fueling unrest and crippling Washington’s ability to respond. As the U.S. scrambles to contain the crisis, it becomes clear that this is only the opening salvo in a much larger conflict—one that will be fought across the Pacific, the Middle East, and beyond.

From the war rooms of Beijing and Washington to the frontlines of covert operations, The Eagle & The Dragon delivers a gripping, high-stakes thriller that reads like tomorrow’s headlines. Packed with pulse-pounding action, meticulously researched military strategy, and a terrifyingly plausible vision of global war, this is the first installment in a series that will redefine the modern geopolitical thriller.

The world is on the brink. The battle for the 21st century has begun.

Narrator mispronounced words throughout. His knowledge of military terms is inconsistent. Poor intonation missing the intent of the speaker.

Where are the sequels to? What is clearly a trilogy? Will there be a sequel? I would like to buy the sequels.

This was a pretty good book, but the reading of it was poor, dragging the story down with it. Military terms and the cadence are way off especially in action scenes. Also several words that can be pronounced two ways like lead were pronounced incorrectly. You find yourself frustrated over the way. The book is being read and lose track of what is actually happening in the book. It also makes the book harder to follow.
