Eliminator...Punisher...Take Your Pick!

I couldn't help but compare Brett Jacobs to another well known ex-cop vigilante - Frank Castle - the whole way through the story. It didn't stop me from enjoying it especially since it was delivered by the very talented Adam Gold. Mike Ryan is new to me, but I liked his style so I may seek out more of his work. What is nice about "The Fallen" is that you could either end it with just this title and feel satisfied or you can continue. Time will tell on what I decide!

Ex-cop out for blood...

This is one of those light, fast paced, vendetta, shoot 'em up kind of book.
When a cop's family is executed in their family vehicle after arriving at a movie theater, that cop goes off the deep end. Detective Brett Jacobs quits the force. The department wants to keep him out of the murder investigation of his family. He wants to avenge the death of his wife and children.
The man who put out the order is in prison, thanks to Jacobs but he has plenty of henchmen on the street. Jacobs decides his entire organization must go, he can wait and get the boss when he gets released.
I purchased this book mainly because Adam Gold is the narrator. I really like listening to him and he doesn't narrate nearly enough books. His performance is excellent.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a light fast listen.
