"Mrs. T struggled mightily to maintain composure.... Her head felt an overinflated balloon.... She had struggled even harder to salvage a rescue mission.... To retrieve what's needed to keep America safe from the Techno-Plague, Middle East Terrorism, and the Guardian Party."

Book two's action explodes from where book one ends, relentlessly terminating old enemies as fast as new ones emerge. Can Electra keep her "secret" hidden while allowing males to play her deadly games as her array of extraordinary skills deepens? You won't find out until the last line of the last chapter!

The world depicted lacks depth and nuance. The main character is self absorbed and shallow. I have tried to like this, but the narration finally killed it for me. This narrator needs to pace her speech and breathing. She sounds out of breath, halting at unexpected places, then finishing the sentence like an afterthought, creating a blundering cadence that jars the mind. Add the multiple mispronounced words and you have a miserable performance. It is a shame because so many of the characters could have been developed into so much more.
