Captivating

An incredible story of of life during WWII of tragedy, courage and perseverance. I would listen to again.

Excellent historical fiction

I loved this book. I learned so much about how England was affected by World War II. I got a little nervous when Harry came back into Charlotte’s life. I highly recommend this book

All we have

During this difficult time of Covid it is wonderful to remember what other generations survived. The story was well written we hope and understanding of what my parents went through.

Great story line

I love the HF genre. I enjoyed how this book touched on the atrocities of WW2 but focused more on how people who weren’t sent away suffered I. A different way, but carried on.

This story was so enthralling and I am not happy that it is over! I will absolutely read more by this author.
