The story of how Jesus was tricked into thinking he was the son of God by a shape-shifting monster known as the Rauschmonstrum.

It is a tale about love, cruelty, misunderstanding, agonizing despair, walking on water, healing the sick, and one unusual case of a person being impersonated after their death.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

A true act of literary brashness. La Torre has taken the most revered story of all time and has used it as a springboard for dark comedy and criticism of Christianity.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked best how the Rauschmonstrum was able to be weaved into the story without getting in the plotline.

Which scene was your favorite?

I'd say my favorite scene is the ending, but I'm not going to give away what happens.

Who was the most memorable character of The Gospel of the Rauschmonstrum and why?

The Rauschmonstrum of course. He's a treasure. I hope he appears in further stories.

Any additional comments?
