What if life isn't just a part of the universe? What if it determines the very structure of the universe itself?

The theory that blew your mind in Biocentrism and Beyond Biocentrism is back, with brand-new research revealing the startling truth about our existence.

What is consciousness? Why are we here? Where did it all come from - the laws of nature, the stars, the universe? Humans have been asking these questions forever, but science hasn't succeeded in providing many answers - until now. In The Grand Biocentric Design, Robert Lanza, one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People", is joined by theoretical physicist Matej Pavšic and astronomer Bob Berman to shed light on the big picture that has long eluded philosophers and scientists alike.

This engaging, mind-stretching exposition of how the history of physics has led us to biocentrism - the idea that life creates reality - takes listeners on a step-by-step adventure into the great science breakthroughs of the past centuries, from Newton to the weirdness of quantum theory, culminating in recent revelations that will challenge everything you think you know about our role in the universe.

This book offers the most complete explanation of the science behind biocentrism to date, delving into the origins of the memorable principles introduced in previous books in this series, as well as introducing new principles that complete the theory. The authors dive deep into topics including consciousness, time, and the evidence that our observations - or even knowledge in our minds - can affect how physical objects behave.

The Grand Biocentric Design is a one-of-a-kind, groundbreaking explanation of how the universe works and an exploration of the science behind the astounding fact that time, space, and reality itself all ultimately depend upon us.

Was so impressed read about him on Wikipedia and now I’m even more impressed! Thank you for making this difficult theory something even I can understand. Well Done!

Made very clear for general public like me

I listened to this Audiobook to learn a synthesis of process philosophy with quantum physics and philosophy of mind. It helped me to integrate various ideas into one overall worldview.

A general criticism: Areas of scientific inquiry and historical events are glossed over. For example, the fine tuning of cosmological constants for the origins of life, anthropic principles, quantum mechanics. Lanza seems to want every mystery in the history of science to be handled by a new paradigm. This is both the reason to read this book, and the reason to keep your wits about you while doing so.

It's good, but it leaves you high and dry

I am not a scientist nor a philosopher, but this book has given me an intuitive experience of a very difficult to conceive set of ideas. Thank you for writing this.

Well, that explains it…

The ideas about the role of consciousness are interesting. I agree with a lot of these ideas. But there's a certain amount of misrepresentation of how most physicists see the role of consciousness in quantum physics. This is done by quoting physicists' use of the term "observation" without clarifying that they don't usually mean observation by a conscious human being. Another problem is endorsing both the idea in quantum physics, of consciousness collapsing the wave function and the Many Worlds Interpretation of quantum physics. The key idea of Many Worlds is that there is no collapse of the wave function. Despite some incoherence of the ideas when all put together as a system, I recommend the book. The ideas, individually, are thought-provoking. The narration is another matter. The narrator takes a snarky tone that I find annoying. I assumed that this snarkiness lay in the prose. But when the co-author, Lanza, lectures, there's no snarkiness at all. It comes from the narrator.

Interesting ideas, sketchy science

I have been following Biocentrism for a few years now and really find that this book helped clarify so much. Our imperfect language make this more difficult but the authors did an excellent job of making this most difficult subject more understandable.

Difficult subject, great presentation
