While President Roosevelt defends the US, the British Empire rallies to repel their alien foe again, and a young Winston Churchill helps to rally international forces. Not all the world sees the Martians as a threat, though; some see them as leverage against Britain. As the military tries to come up with solutions, the international arena takes the stage.

Some of the Australian accents were nearly impossible to understand, which was my only problem with the performance, and one character, Lindemann, was just a glorified observer to Churchill, my only issue with the story, but overall it was a great story and a fine addition/conclusion to The Great Martian War. I just wish there was more on the horizon.

The single handily The Greatest Sci Fi Alien Invasion Book Ever! In my opinion it is better than the original book war of the worlds.

My God That Was Fucking Awesome

The author does a fantastic job of writing the story in the mindset and times of someone in the 1910s. The story is very good at incorporating real life individuals and events into his stories that not only makes sense, but enhances it. I enjoyed the not yet Prime Minister version of Winston Churchill. His interpretation of how certain nations, religions and groups of people would react to certain situations was rather accurate.

An excellent fourth addition to the series

This was a really good story. I wish that the narrator had tried to sound more like Winston Churchill from World War II. But I can live with the choice of making him sound younger and less like he did in the media. I really like how the story was faithful to the times. Sure I’m not happy about the subtle Western superiority. But that was just the times. Looking forward to seeing what happens next in the series. I just hope I don’t have to wait too long.
