Short and great.

A man shows up at the police saying he was killed. He's obviously alive. He's taken home, only for the police to get a call later that night that he is dead.

Hard-boiled D.D. Warren sure grew on me. Loved this mystery! Lover her staccato way of telling it!

Not as good as the rest

so this one did not keep my attention but I got thru it. It was to "fake" for me .

Cute little story

Cute is not a word I ever expected to use in association with Lisa Gardner. And it isn’t really just has a bit of that feeling. Feels much like a Hericule Perot.

Excellent short story

Another great book by Lisa Gardner.
I listened to this while doing payroll & I loved it. Character development was great for a short story which was impressive.
I love Detective DeeDee Warren!

FINALLY A RETURN TO A SUCCESSFUL FORMULA

This story was wonderful and long overdue; Ms Gardner has returned to a successful formula with D D Warren and eliminated the Flora Dane character in previous books. The books with the Dane character were so very disappointing. I almost stopped reading Ms Gardner! This was wonderful and I once again look forward to future books.
