After losing everything to a curse that struck the kingdom of Galoth, Sarya just wants the world to leave her alone. Yet when a demon begins hunting the people in the forest near her village, staying hidden isn't an option. Neither is avoiding the warrior who helped saved all of Galoth. Bannin the Blowhard has never said a serious word in his life . . . and yet the warrior claims that he intends to marry Sarya.

Now she's about to discover how serious Bannin can be when her happiness is at stake—and how completely devoted to her pleasure . . .

Contains mature themes.

99% of this is Sarya and Bannin talking through their misconceptions and then getting busy.
1% of this is hunting a plant tentacle monster. I needed a little more fantasy with my romance.

Shortchanged on the monster hunt

Short, sweet-n-spicy story with a hero and heroine who don't mind getting their hands dirty for a good cause. The heroine is saucy, but she's also smart, calm and doesn't mind listening to someone who may be more experienced than her.

At the same time, she also is good at making it clear when she is the one who knows more or has more experience. Luckily, the hero is no idiot. They fight monsters and each other quite well! Their chemistry is off the charts, both in the wilds against the bad guys, and in the bedroom.

The trope and storyline is typical (which isn't bad). There were no big surprises and if there were mysteries, they made sense and lined up with the story. No jump-scare or super-crazy twists, which was also fine.

Just a nice addition to the series.
