🔥 I love Camilla Isley’s books—every one I read or listen to is enjoyable, sweet, and leaves me excited for whatever she writes next. The Heat of the Moment is a slow-burn romance wrapped around themes of loss, grief, single parenthood, and the fear of finding happiness again. While that might sound heavy, it never feels overwhelming. Isley balances it beautifully with lighthearted moments and genuine joy as Lily slowly begins to rebuild her life.

🔥 Lily and Josh first meet in the ER—definitely not the most traditional “meet cute.” Lily is a widowed single mom who is absolutely determined not to fall for another firefighter. Of course, Josh is a firefighter… and one she can’t seem to avoid. I loved Josh. He’s patient, steadily persistent (swoon!), and incredibly careful with Lily’s heart—even when he’s afraid he may have lost her. The wildfire scenes are intense and emotional, adding tension to their story.
