Great continuation of a really good story

I've never played a tower defense game but that's what this book is. The action was practically non-stop and I had difficulty pausing to sleep unless it was at the end of a wave. We didn't get much progress on the overall story line but we did learn a few more things. The main characters continue to develop and we get quite a bit more of their back story. It felt like a middle book in a trilogy or longer series. Overall it was a pleasure to listen to and I can't wait for the next book.

Andrea Parsneau did a really good job on this one too. She was even able to bring humanoid bird creatures to life.

What a great new series!!

I was amazed with the first book and the second book just blew me away. I love the story and the characters. I enjoy the world the author created and the atmosphere of these books. I read a bunch of reviews on both these books and I cannot be happier with my decision to give this series a try.

Fans of science fiction, LitRPG, and fantasy should give this a try. Anyone who enjoys an action packed adventure with a bunch of light hearted elements should try this out too.

Good Listen

I enjoyed this book. It went by super fast and I finished the whole thing in a day in a half. The sci-fi stuff is a little jarring at the beginning and end. Feels like two different stories are being told, but it was still well worth the credit.

When is the next book coming?!

I just picked up the book when I listened to the sample and burst out laughing and I have no regrets. Andrea does great work as always bring it to life. Not knowing who to trust having people being backstabbed only to find out why they did it and feel bad for them yet still be a bit angry about it is just a few things that put you on a rollercoaster of emotions in this book. I went from laughing, to being angry, to annoyed, to sadness, then joy then back to laughing again. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next.
