Absolutely Loved It

I’m American and a huge fan of Bob Mortimer, ever since I first saw him on Would I Lie to You. This book, and The Clementine (Satsuma) Complex, are great mysteries with sweet friendships and fab dry humor.

Even though I have a complete disgust of birds since an incident involving a starling, I quite liked the pigeon. Though not quite as much as the squirrel in the first book.

I hope there is another book coming in the series, but it wraps up nicely with this book if not.

Loved the subtle humor

I loved the book from start to finish. Excellent narrators, unusual story, fast paced, surprising, topped by subtle sometimes black humor, that made me lough out loud. I definitely recommend.

Actually really good! Fun and compelling plot, with excellent vivid characters. Bob Mortimer’s absurd and wonderful humor is the most powerful hook though—G-damn delightful! It brought me so much joy to hear Mortimer and friends deliver such hilarious and well-conceived performances. Thanks Bob, for this book!
