I have watched the movie many a time. Read the book. A few times. It seems that I miss something a time or two. But always pick up something new...😁

Great book old book

This was my first listen here on audible and I must say it was quite enjoyable. John Pethers has a lovely voice on The Hound of the Baskervilles and I look forward to hearing more from this narrator. Love all the older classic detective books.

Quite enjoyable!

Well-constructed and with rich characters. Both Holmes and Watson at their best. Pether's narration leaves much to be desired though. Wooden, almost monotonous, with no differentiation in voicing. And he mispronounced a few words. Overall, worth bearing with the narration to read this classic mystery.

A wonderful mystery of its time

What does John Pether bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Pether has a musical manner of speaking that lends an additional layer of character to this already distinctive tale. This was my first reading by the author, the narrator, and of this tale. All are quite pleasing and comfortable. I hope to read with them again.

Well-narrated and moody
