I was so excited for this book because Keogh and Robinson are one of my favorite author / narrator duos!!

The narrator was as wonderful as usual, but I thought the story was a bit morbid and lacking those exciting juicy bits that usually accompany Keogh’s novels. Sadly, this one was a bit difficult to finish.

Woefully Underwhelmed

I’m on my second listen! Well worth the time and credit!

“The Housekeeper” is a phenomenal psychological thriller that kept my attention throughout due to the exceptional narration by the exceedingly alluring Rose Robinson, a recent favorite. Never a lull or a dull. Valerie Keogh’s writing and Robinson’s presentation are, as always, spot-on. Cassie is trying to heal from the tragic death of her husband, but her new home, Hindon House, has secrets of its own. As she tries to uncover the truth, she realizes that someone is not happy with her arrival. But who and why? With twisty turns, paranoia, secrets, and suspicions, it kept me guessing until the very end. This skilled duo proves again that they have the combined magic to bring us another devious delight. After my recent discovery, I realized I had found treasure. Keep track of the characters and their motives; be warned – nothing is as it seems. Who can be believed, trusted? Is Cassie hiding a secret of her own? Worthy of a cherished credit, however, I’m so glad I found this hidden gem during Audible's recent sale for $7+. Recommended? Indeed! Get this one now.
