My mother turns up after thirty years... and she wants my help.

Kim Slade is at work when there's a knock at her office door. Someone is waiting for her in reception. A woman claiming to be her mother. The mother who abandoned her thirty years ago.

Monica Slade has been working as a live-in housekeeper for a judge and his wife, she says. But now Judge Hawkes is dead.

The last thing Monica says before the police take her in for questioning is: "There are things you should know. About the past."

Kim immediately sets out to prove her mother's innocence. But soon, she is forced to think the unthinkable. Is my mother a murderer?

The Housekeeper's Daughter is an exhilarating blend of domestic suspense and nail-biting tension with a shattering final twist. Perfect for fans of Patricia MacDonald, Lisa Jewell, Shalini Boland, T.M. Logan, and Clare Mackintosh.

I really liked the first book and the second might even be better. It begins about where the first one ends. Many of the previous cast returns and are woven into the new storyline. Probably the most intriguing part was Kim & Kyle. The plot is good, characters are great. Would definitely recommend listening to/reading this one.

Narration was great. Accents, including American, and dialects were portrayed really well giving the characters their own unique voice.

Great second book in series
