Joan of Arc was a national hero, who at such a young age brought France back from the brink of defeat and galvanized the French resistance to the English invaders. Her heroism is only beaten by her courage, and her life story meets a tragic end.

Charles V showed tremendous potential and intelligence from a young age. As his father and grandfather continued to weaken France and ruin the prestige of their royal house with their misguided chivalry, Charles’ arrival on the scene couldn’t have come at a better time. King Charles worked tirelessly to regain France’s lost glory and played a pivotal role in the Hundred Years’ War.

Enjoyable Biographies on Captivating Characters

I enjoyed this biography bundle, specifically the Joan of Arc and Black Prince biographies were great.
The King Philip book was pretty good, and the King Charles book was the weakest of the 4.
Bundle length was just right.
Overall: 8/10
