An ancient evil descends on the Central European capital city of Budapest. A supernatural killer stalks its timeworn alleyways, provoking terror among its distraught population and leaving untraceable and shocking murders in its wake. An estranged American family finds itself at the center of the unnatural violence. Confronting a vicious predator, they find they must band together if they are to survive its ageless and malevolent curse. But, as they come to grips with their horrid adversary, their time and options for escape dwindle, and they can only hope that overcoming their wicked foe will not cost them everything.

This was an enjoyable story, well written and well read. The story moved along at a good pace and never lulled. The narrator was superb, well spoken and did a great job keeping the story moving.

Engaging!

Eerily creepy thriller. I really enjoyed the mystery and the suspense of this story. It actually gave me a “Friday the 13th” tv series vibe. What’s happening to this family and why? All the answers will come… eventually.
Jonathan Waters does another fantastic performance on all these characters. Also, I haven’t mentioned this for a while but Jonathan does one of the best (if not THE best) female character voices in audiobooks. He’s extremely talented and I never get tired of listening to him.
This book is a standalone and I want to say it has an HEA but I won’t. I’ll let you be the judge of that lol.
I recommend this book.

As the narrator, Jonathan Waters, brilliantly tells Timothy Bryan's story of a broken family, who is being stalked by this unnatural and seemingly indestructible man, people in their lives are savagely murdered. I found myself invested in the characters, wondering how the intriguing story will come together, and explain more details. But then, at the end, you will learn everything. I was chillingly left with goosebumps. If you're a fan of the supernatural, mystery, dark fantasy and a good story, leaving you with an inspiring meaning, this is the one for you.

Goosebumps at the end!

I think this book was good. I had the whisper soft version so I was reading the ebook at times and listening to the audio book at times... there were good and bad things from both. This is my second book by Timothy Bryan. I felt like this one was less laid out. There was a lot of character interaction that seemed unnecessary to me and it distracted from the story. As the truth starts to unfold, I thought it got muddled again. There were just parts to this book that made me feel a little confused.

That said, the locations, the descriptions, and the tension in places was very well done. It was certainly an interesting antagonist.
