Great Narration

I can be picky about audiobooks, and start many without finishing. This was A+++ it is fascinating medieval historical fiction, which tracks true historical events. The narrator is as so good, I enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend.

A fast and fun 21 hours

It took me a minute to get in tune with Saul Reichlin's voice and the reflective style of the writer but i soon found myself lost in the story. If you enjoy historical fiction by writers like Bernard Cromwell and Harry Harrison, you will thoroughly enjoy this book. Saul Reichlin did a wonderful job as the narrator and I was sad to learn of his passing.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews about this one. The Chivalry series is fantastic from start to finish. Non-stop action and character development that traverses all the books. Christian Cameron is among the best historical fiction writers hands down.

Interesting view into chivalric culture

Seeing the interactions between different strata in society was interesting, I didn’t get really invested in the characters but a satisfying listen. His newer works are much better!

good but hard to follow at times

a little difficult to follow at times and I did a lot of rewinding, but the ending was great and the narrator did a really good job. I'll probably buy the next book in the series
